Description
A hypnotic exploration of geometry and movement. This artwork commands attention through a rhythmic play of contrasting patterns. Bold black and white checks collide with sweeping zebra stripes. The composition twists into a vortex of optical energy. Precise lines warp and bend. They create a profound sense of depth and spatial distortion.
Warm accents break the monochrome austerity. Vibrant red zones emerge with a tactile quality. These sections feature a delicate dotted texture. The red shapes act as visual anchors within the swirling chaos. They guide the eye across the canvas in a fluid motion.
The artist achieves a masterful tension between rigid structure and organic flow. Each intersection feels intentional. The surface pulses with an interior vibration. This piece echoes the principles of op art. It transforms a flat plane into a dynamic experience of light and shadow. The final effect is a complex tapestry of mathematical precision and expressive instinct. Each line converges toward an unseen center.

Leikun Nahusenay (b. 1982) is a multidisciplinary visual artist who currently resides and works in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
