Description
Jo Moore's compelling original artwork draws on inspiration from nature, displaying dramatically rich textural surfaces. Sought after both nationally and internationally, and collected world-wide for more than forty years, she is among those rare lifetime studio artists able to cross boundary lines, working in multi-dimensional disciplines. Oil on canvas, abstract, figurative, ancestors, sages, mystics, shaman, muses, minimalism, sealed, archival, ready to hang. Painted edges, no need to frame. Deep profile. From the now available series "Those who came before..." by inquiry.
Presentation
Artist Statement:
For me, Color is alive. I began as a painter forty years ago and that's what it's always been about for me with my canvases. Color. My intent is to think outside the box when it comes to color, perspective, shape. I like to focus on fields of color, rather than details. My heart belongs to expression rather than a duplication of reality. I allow the paint to interpret the dynamics of my subject's energetic ethos through vibrant use of rich color. Each canvas addresses form, line, light, shadow, but my work displays more than anything an interest in light and color. My canvases are gallery wrapped with painted edges, sealed, acid-free, and archival.
