Description

A dynamic collision of geometry and gesture. This 2023 mixed media artwork merges the structural rigidity of urban architecture with the fluid energy of abstraction. Sharp lines of a metropolitan skyline anchor the composition. They contrast against sweeping strokes of cerulean and deep navy.
The technique blends painting and collage for a rich, tactile surface. Thick impasto textures create a physical tension. This depth suggests a dialogue between the conscious city and the subconscious mind. Movement flows diagonally across the canvas. It evokes a sense of perpetual motion and temporal shift.
The palette remains cool and atmospheric. Lighter hues of white and silver pierce through the darker tones. They mimic the reflection of light on glass and steel. The composition captures a fleeting moment between reality and imagination. Every layer reveals a complex layering of space and time. The final result is a sophisticated study of structural balance and emotional intensity, anchored by the precise intersection of architectural forms and organic expression.

Presentation

The starting point: the moment when present arises between the past and the future; a realistic perception of the unreal on the brink of the apparent reality.

The result: a relativity realization of permanent movements and the rise of a tension limited only through the clash between consciousness and sub-consciousness.

The emotion: while accepting the materiality of the non-existent, to feel, at the same time, the unreality of its existence.

The aim: to designate the integrality of the acutely felt, the certitude in its validity, the acknowledgement of the contradiction and the record of the consequence as a fact.
