Description
This painting is an intuitive exploration of color in collaboration with my daughters. The palette chosen by one of my daughters started off venturing with colors not typical in my palette. The result was reminiscent of the colors of rock candy my grandmother used to make when she was a young girl! There is gold leaf added for fun, dimension, and interest.
Presentation
Artist Statement:
I find inspiration in nature and our human interaction with it, working indirectly from the photographs I take. Capturing and suspending a moment in time, I extract and simplify the composition in my paintings. I hope my art touches a place in your heart where a special moment or a peaceful memory resides. I'm grateful everyday that I am able to spend my time doing what I love.
Thank you for your interest! Your feedback and questions are always welcome.
