Javier Jamirez was born in Teror and has lived in Paris since 2011. In 1995 he began to study fine arts at the University of the Lagoon, ending in 2000 with the specialty of drawing and painting. It has been selected in several editions of the Biennial of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the modality of painting and sculpture, as well as in the Biennial of Teror, in several individual and group exhibitions in the two capitals of the Canaries.
In 2005 Javier began his journey, first in Valencia where he worked in artist studios in Fallas. He exhibited in the celebration of the America's Cup in the sports area the Petxina, showing the same series in the nautical club of Geneva.
His next step in Senegal, Javier develops a work of decoration in the carriages of Saint Louis in the north of the country, enjoying the stay and discovering the manufacture of these carriages where he made high quality tapestries, ordering a work of an image of an African market scene.
During this period he also participated in the Dakar Biennale in 2008.
The journey continued, drawn by the curiosity to find new artistic markets, arriving in Potsdam, near Berlin, where he is devoted to exhibiting in specialist art markets, in the islands of the museum center of the German capital.
After 2 years, he goes to Paris, where he can enjoy a creation workshop, visit institutions and museums and meet artists and curators.
