Description
This captivating and avant-garde work of art is a true explosion of colors and shapes, sure to captivate the observer from the first glance. The central figure, representing a face with a cubist and surreal appearance, is immediately distinguished by the remarkable fusion of patterns and textures. The bold use of bright, contrasting colors, such as the emerald green of the face and the flamboyant red of the hair, creates an intense and striking visual dynamic.
Every detail of this work appears to have been carefully thought out to add an element of surprise and intrigue. For example, the bright yellow arrow that appears to point outward from the image draws attention and provokes thought about the path or direction the artist wishes to communicate. Geometric patterns, such as the black and white triangles on the figure's clothing, add a dimension of complexity and depth, showcasing the artist's technical mastery.
The background, composed of fragments of sky blue and patterns reminiscent of a puzzle, perhaps suggests a feeling of deconstruction or recomposition, reinforcing the surreal and dreamlike character of the work. The eyes, asymmetrical and offset, as well as the red ear and the mechanical elements integrated into the face, evoke a collage of emotions and ideas – an invitation to explore the multiplicity of human perspectives.
In addition, the room features unexpected details, such as painted woodwork or feathers evoking a neo-primitive style. These additions give the work an almost totemic quality, as if it were reincarnating a contemporary mythological figure.
This work is characterized by its ability to blur the boundaries between artistic genres, combining influences from cubism, surrealism and popular art. It is a bold proclamation of creativity and technical mastery, affirming a unique and original vision of the world. It doesn't just capture attention, it requires deep reflection and continued contemplation, transforming the viewer into an active participant in its fascinating world.
Presentation
During his trip to Canada in 1972, he fled from the Soviet union. On his own, he decided to turn towards painting and make a living out of it. He left for Paris in 1981, where he currently lives and works.
In the 80's and 90's, he realized orders for Club Med and a Belgian sponsor, while simultaneously creating personal works that he exhibited at Beaubourg in 1982, then in several other international art galleries.
Categorized as Neo-Pop art, his figurative works are filled with humor and poetry. He uses simplified shapes and bright, plentiful colors to create a positive and a joyous world. He distinguishes himself through his extravagance and imagination. His art is filled with wonderful imaginary figures which are lively and have a zest for life.
