Tom Furey

Artist Statement:

Art has always been an important part of my life. The process of making Art from the days of working with my grandmother to create crafts at the young age of five to my current pursuit fifty five years later working as a professional painter. I approach my art work with personal and professional artistic challenges. Over the years I have worked in my studio with some very prestigious highly professional artist. These artists have inspired most of what I do today. My studies in college has taught me only working hard and doing what you love to do leads to success. I enjoy all types of art and I don't have one artist that I place at the top of my list. I create my art to satisfy my need to create. I feel compelled to give a part of me to anyone that understands and is willing to embrace the art. Each piece I create becomes part of my art family. It conveys where I am and what I was doing at the time of its creation. My mission as an artist is to share what I have learned over the years through my art.

Tom was educated at Bucks County Community College and the Maryland Institute of Art (MICA).
