Précious amber, 2022

Christy

The work "Precious. Amber" signed by the artist Christy, embodies a subtle fusion between the figurative and the abstract, creating a powerful visual impression. The painting depicts a graceful woman, enveloped in a delicate atmosphere of mystery and poetry. The background shared between anthracite gray tones and lighter shades creates a harmonious balance and highlights the central silhouette. The textured touches of gold come to life, adding a special luminosity and depth to the scene. These golden flashes, seeming to float like particles of light, bring a dimension of dream and escape. The woman's dress, dotted with flowers with bright orange and garnet petals, contrasts beautifully with the dark background. These flowers, drawn with apparent simplicity but elegant precision, almost seem to come to life, enveloping and integrating the female figure into a setting that is both natural and enchanting. The loose and sketched contours of the silhouette accentuate an impression of movement and fluidity. The woman's hair, delicately tinted with warmer shades, falls freely over her shoulders, extended by a few golden flowers that seem to blend naturally with it. Her face, partially hidden and evoking an introspective tranquility, invites the viewer to prolonged contemplation. The work is distinguished by its bold use of color, gold leaf and contrasts, in addition to the way it mixes decorative and figurative elements. The signature "christy" at the bottom left certifies the artist's unique touch, adding a personal dimension to the work. In short, this painting evokes both softness and intensity, balance and movement, in a subtle dance between dream and reality.
