Description
In “Red Temptation," I capture the captivating power of femininity through an abstract, minimalistic portrait. This watercolor focuses on a woman's bold red lips, painted with vibrant lipstick, symbolizing allure and strength. The woman wears a black hat, and her elegant, black-gloved hand adds a touch of retro-classic chic, hinting at timeless glamour and intimacy.
Set against a white background, the minimalist style emphasizes the striking contrast between red and black, enhancing elegance and restraint. Influenced by Pop Art and Art Deco, “Red Temptation" combines classic femininity with modern style, inviting viewers to engage with the subtle power of seduction in a single, expressive moment.
Presentation
Kristina Mallen, a painter with a background in oil and acrylic mediums.
Her recognisable style infuses the sophistication of Art Deco, the pop of Pop Art with a dominant focus on the female figure, manifesting elegance and eroticism. Her work exudes the extravagance, classical chic, and charm of women, striking a balance between provocation and the sublime.
