Description

This fascinating work presents Salvadore DALI's portrait, interpreted through a unique style of linear distortion. The wavy lines create a dynamic texture, contrasting with the softness of the serene face. The vibrant shades of the colours add a striking visual dimension, evoking a sense of fluid movement. The silver frame highlights the elegance of the work, enhancing its contemporary character. The viewer's eye is captivated by the hypnotic effect produced by the intertwining of the lines, transforming every viewing angle into a new visual experience.

This technique developed by Virginie SCHROEDER, based on latex and paint, over the course of fifteen years, gives a very particular dimension to the painting, the rendering of which will be different depending on the distance at which the work is examined in detail.

This innovative technique skillfully blends classical and modern art, reflecting a harmonious tension between tradition and innovation.

Presentation

Virginie Schroeder is an innovative artist based in Quebec, Canada. Her paintings are made to inspire new artistic visions while impressing with their stunning technicality. When a face, an animal, a landscape, or any other subject is removed from its linear structure, it acquires a completely different form, a new identity, and dimension. One does not recognize it at first sight; it emerges as the very process of observation. It is here that the magic occurs, as the viewer consciously discovers a work of abstract character in vivid color which plays upon the tension between the figurative and the imaginary.

Virginie Schroeder seeks an unstructured, new, and yet popular vision, and hopes to awaken our senses in the search for her works. Her one-of-a-kind artworks have been exhibited and collected worldwide, including Hong Kong, New York, and Los Angeles.

Virginie Schroeder stages lines, geometric shapes, circles, etc., to create works in which things or subjects are not immediately visible. Verbal and psychological interactivity with the audience is an integral part of her creativity.

Her art is the result of a reflection and an aesthetic intuition imposed by the geometry of forms. Her art must intrigue, lead to questioning by the abstract character of the work at first glance. It suffices to concentrate the eye on a focal point, to move away slightly to glimpse the detailed work. But above all, Virginie Schroeder wants things not to be visible immediately. To see them, we must feel the work, look at it, open and concentrate all our senses and live it fully.

It is not enough to experience the emotion of the work, what the artist wants is for the public to enter the work and for their minds to go. The work is made to give new artistic visions and impress the public by the technicality of the work.

When a face, an animal, a landscape or any other subject is linearly destructured, it acquires a completely different form, a completely different identity, another dimension, a completely different prestige: we do not recognize it at first glance, we discover it. as the observation progresses.

This is where the magic appears because the conscious discovers a work of an abstract nature made of a mixture of different bright colors, the subconscious and the visual display a work of figurative and imaginary character.

Virginie Schroeder is looking for an imaginary, unstructured, popular vision, a difference in her art, she wants to awaken our senses in the search for her works.
