Description

"Talking About Love" is a profound abstract piece that explores the complexities and transformative nature of love. Measuring 140 x 90 cm, this acrylic painting is a powerful narrative of love's journey, painted with bold strokes of red, black, and white. The piece speaks to the intense emotional experience of love—its purity, suffering, and ultimate resilience.
The red symbolizes the initial, pure heart of love, full of passion and vulnerability, while the black represents the pain, wounds, and trauma that love can bring. The white accents serve as a reminder of the purity of love's essence, untouched by the trials it faces. The composition itself is chaotic yet structured, reflecting how love can be both overwhelming and healing at the same time.

The painting is a reflection on the journey of love, starting with a pure heart that, over time, experiences hurt and sorrow. The intense red and black tones convey the emotional depth of love, while the white highlights the resilience and enduring power of love's true essence. No matter the pain and suffering, love remains unbroken in its core, reminding us that true love never loses its essence.
Through this work, I aim to express the transformative power of love—how it can wound us, challenge us, and change us, but ultimately, it cannot take away who we truly are at our core: love itself.

Beata Kmita, Talking About Love

Beata Kmita

Presentation

Beata Kmita, a Polish artist born in 1974, has transformed her life and abstract art into a profound message of connection and transcendence. Having resided in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, for over 20 years, she has drawn endless inspiration from the vibrant landscapes of the Caribbean, its crystal-clear waters, and the rich cultural environment surrounding her. Her work delves into universal themes such as authenticity, connection, essence, and freedom, inviting the viewer into an intimate dialogue with themselves and the world around them.

At the age of 33, Beata experienced a profound awakening of consciousness that became a pivotal moment in her life. This transformative process, known as "The Dark Night of the Soul," led her on a journey of personal and spiritual growth, which, thirteen years later, gave birth to her artistic expression as a means of sharing her experiences and offering hope.

A graduate in Organizational Psychology, Beata blends her academic background with an innate ability to inspire and motivate, enriching her art with a unique and profound perspective.

As a self-taught artist, Beata has developed a gestural and intuitive style that reflects her connection to the natural flow of the soul. Her creative process is an organic expression where color, texture, and movement converge to give life to compositions that evoke universal emotions and memories. Inspired by masters such as Kazuo Shiraga, Joan Mitchell, Jackson Pollock, and Willem de Kooning, her work merges the boldness and dynamism of her influences with a deeply personal sensitivity.

Beata’s techniques include acrylics, oils, and textural elements like sand and gold leaf, creating pieces that are both tactile and visually striking. Her vibrant palette, featuring turquoise, deep blues, golds, magentas, and emerald greens, captures the essence of the Caribbean and the Mayan jungle, while whites and oranges evoke the golden light of the tropical sun. Each piece is a reflection of her spiritual journey, transforming moments of turbulence into affirmations of peace and light.

Beyond the canvas, Beata shares her passion through personalized courses and workshops, guiding others in discovering their creative potential. Deeply rooted in her own life experiences, her teachings inspire participants to unleash their inner artist and reconnect with their essence.

Beata's work is more than artistic expression; it serves as a bridge to introspection and spiritual growth. Each creation resonates with a universal narrative of connection, hope, and authenticity, reminding us that even after the darkest storms, light always emerges. Through her brushstrokes, the invisible becomes tangible, and the personal transforms into the universal, offering viewers a transformative experience that transcends art and ignites a spark of inspiration.
