Description
"The most important and most neglected of all conversations is the conversation with oneself." Axel Oxenstiern
Presentation
ELENA FETEANU was born in Romania during the communist era.
With an engineering degree, the upheaval of the 1989 revolution led her towards other professions, more related to creation: design and production of publications and magazines.
Arriving in France in 2010, always thirsty for learning, she resumed her studies and obtained a degree in accounting. At the same time, she began taking painting classes, which would quickly become her passion.
For her, painting is an abstract expression of feelings, of a teeming and bubbling inner world. Her paintings often have relief, as if to get closer to the eye of the person looking at them, to offer a third dimension and to allow light to take part in her work by bringing its nuances. Her painting is also a research on materials, consistencies in relation to what will take shape on her canvases.
She is a member of several art associations: LA MINE, LA PART DE L'AMBRE and LE GROUPE PICTURAL DE CHAMPAGNE.
She has taken part in several exhibitions:
Individuals:
Artists' Cafe – 2018
The Vineyard – 2019
Cie Crocs En Scène 2019 and participation in “God of Carnage"
The “Night of Reading" at L'Escal de Witry-les-Reims 2020
Artists' workshops from 2019 to 2024
Farmers' House 2021
REGUS Business Center 2023
Collectives:
GPC Arts Fair from 2019 to 2024 (Public Prize in 2020)
Dormans: Dormanist Historical and Cultural Circle – Le Moulin d'en Haut – Spring show from 2021 to 2024
The Mine – Where have the women gone? - March 2023
