Description
Klish 3
"Blue Sky" by Andriy Klishyn is a contemplative and minimalist landscape that captures the vastness of the sky contrasted against a rugged terrain. The painting presents a deep, rich blue expanse that dominates the composition, creating a feeling of openness, serenity, and infinite possibilities. Below, the dark and textured landscape suggests mountains or rolling hills, grounding the composition in contrast to the ethereal sky above.Klishyn's use of texture in the lower portion of the painting adds depth and movement, as if the land is shaped by time and natural forces. The color gradient in the sky, shifting from a deeper blue at the top to a softer, almost misty hue near the horizon, evokes a sense of transition—perhaps the arrival of dawn or the stillness before nightfall.Through "Blue Sky," the artist conveys a sense of tranquility, solitude, and reflection. The painting invites the viewer to gaze beyond the immediate, to contemplate the vastness of nature and one's place within it. It is an expression of quiet strength, where the sky represents hope, freedom, and the boundless nature of human thought, while the dark terrain reminds us of the grounding realities of life.
Presentation
Born on February 27, 1958 in the city of Kirovabad, Republic of Azerbaijan. Almost immediately after birth he moved to Eastern Kazakhstan, to the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk. He graduated from the Technical and Economic Institute and worked as an engineer, teacher, and then in the field of insurance, finance and banking. Since May 2014, a forced migrant has been living in Kyiv.
The artist about himself:
“As a professional artist, I started my career late, at 61 years old. But it is possible that this was what should have happened. Everything has its time. Rich life experiences have become the source of my creativity. My art is ambiguous and unlike any other, probably because “I paint with my heart." Sometimes I use an intuitive drawing, namely: not from life or from a photograph, but only what suits the subconscious, soul, heart.
Most importantly and completely unexpectedly for me, after a series of works I began to understand where my images come from... I think that I or my essence saw them in our past or future life.
Despite my little experience, I already have more than two hundred paintings, about forty of them have found “their home" in private collections and museums."
The paintings are in the Lutsk Art Museum, in the Korsakov Family Museum of Contemporary Art.
