Description
This striking artwork depicts a vibrant forest scene during the golden hour of autumn. The painting exudes warmth and an enchanting play of light, as the sun filters through the dense canopy, bathing the landscape in a gentle, golden glow. Brushstrokes create dynamic movement in the babbling brook that winds through the scene, its waters reflecting the myriad colors of fall—rich reds, oranges, and yellows. The texture and depth are masterfully achieved with impasto techniques, adding a tactile dimension to the smooth stones that border the stream. Lush foliage is rendered in an impressionistic style, capturing the essence of a forest teeming with life and color. The composition's harmony and balance are evident, with each element contributing to the immersive and serene atmosphere. This work uniquely captures the fleeting beauty of nature, inviting viewers to linger and explore the tranquility within.
Presentation
Emily Mae's work is characterized by expressiveness, airy brushstrokes and intense colors. The author is mainly engaged in landscape painting using techniques such as acrylic, oil or soft pastel.
Her main inspiration is nature and above all the forest, where she spent many free moments with her family as a child. Currently, walks in the forest help her with sorting out her thoughts and also as a source of peace and balance. During these walks, Emily captures with her camera a scene that interests or inspires her, and then transforms it into a canvas in an impressionistic style, but with elaborate details.
Her paintings are full of energy, rich colors and characteristic, quivering handwriting. With her unique approach to landscape painting, Emily is able to penetrate the viewer's soul and bring him a feeling of peace, harmony and connection with nature.
She studied theory and history of art and design at London's Kingston University, where she currently lives and works as an art teacher and art educator.
