Description
BROKEN HEARTS, another piece from my exhibition TRIBUTE TO JEAN PAUL GOUDE at Galeries Lafayette in 2013.
GOUDE was a source of inspiration for me this year 2013.
Creative, eccentric and controversial, he has always surprised me with his cut-out, assembled and pasted images, with his sometimes shocking and even exceptional visuals... his universe is highly colorful.
A timeless artist.
Presentation
Anka Matei is a French artist, she studied at the Academy of Science and Economics in Bucharest for five years and worked in computers and accounting before coming back to France and making her dream come true, by becoming a stylist.
She achieved a grant in 1999 for young talents from the Regional Council of Brittany, in order to finance her studies at ESMOD (School of Fashion Arts and Techniques). After a few professional internships in Rennes, she began painting and creating illustrations for books, while simultaneously creating dresses.
Woman remains her favorite theme and in April 2011, one offered her to join the operation "La Parisienne", at the Galleries Lafayette where she exhibits women portraits in Indian ink and joined the Maison des Artistes.
