Description
This captivating work, dominated by a palette of deep and luminous blues, explores the harmony between geometric and abstract forms. Circles, lines, and rectangles overlap and intersect, creating a fascinating visual dynamic. Subtle variations of blue, ranging from cobalt to turquoise, lend a softness and depth to the overall effect. The addition of patterns such as dots and crosses adds texture and contrast. Graphic elements, such as stylized leaves, emerge discreetly, introducing an organic touch amidst the geometric rigor. The overall effect is a dance between balance and movement, capturing the eye and encouraging sustained contemplation. This work exudes an atmosphere that is both futuristic and serene, brilliantly illustrating the interconnectedness of structure and fluidity.
Presentation
Thierry Corpet - French artist born in 1965, lives and works in Corsica
At the crossroads of visual arts and music, Thierry Corpet draws inspiration from William Burroughs' "cut-up" technique to create hybrid works, where superimpositions and geometric forms translate the emotions arising from listening. Without claiming synesthesia, he seeks to capture the ephemeral and give tangible form to what is usually perceived by the ear.
Each canvas, each sculpture becomes his visual score — an invitation to see his perception of music, to feel the forms and to listen with the eyes.
His work is regularly exhibited in France and internationally. In particular, it was presented at the "Comparaisons 2026" exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris, in the Geometric Abstraction group.
