Description
This captivating sculpture, with its bold geometric lines, rises majestically. Composed of triangular, circular, and rectangular shapes, it harmoniously plays with shades of blue, gray, and beige. Each element fits together with mathematical precision, creating a striking visual ballet. The contrast of colors and shapes creates a vibrant dynamic, simultaneously evoking balance and movement. The work seems to defy gravity, elegantly standing on its black base. The clever use of angles and geometric patterns gives this piece a timeless modernity, inviting the viewer to explore it from every angle. The result is an imposing architectural and sculptural presence that questions our perception of space and volume.
Presentation
Thierry Corpet - French artist born in 1965, lives and works in Corsica
At the crossroads of visual arts and music, Thierry Corpet draws inspiration from William Burroughs' "cut-up" technique to create hybrid works, where superimpositions and geometric forms translate the emotions arising from listening. Without claiming synesthesia, he seeks to capture the ephemeral and give tangible form to what is usually perceived by the ear.
Each canvas, each sculpture becomes his visual score — an invitation to see his perception of music, to feel the forms and to listen with the eyes.
His work is regularly exhibited in France and internationally. In particular, it was presented at the "Comparaisons 2026" exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris, in the Geometric Abstraction group.
