Description
This work presents a subtle harmony of blue and grey hues, evoking a misty seascape. The layers of colour merge delicately, creating an almost ethereal depth and texture. The varied blue tones, oscillating between light and dark, simulate a distant horizon bathed in soft light. The fluid transition of colours adds a sense of tranquillity and immensity, reminiscent of the vast expanses of the ocean. This painting is an invitation to contemplation, prompting the viewer to immerse themselves in serene, introspective reflection.
Presentation
TanJian-Chung is a Taiwanese artist, graduated from the National Art School of Taiwan, holds a higher diploma from the Strasbourg School of Decorative Art and holds a doctorate in arts from the University of Lorraine But he is also a former student of the great masters of Chinese painting Li Chi-Mao and Su Feng Nan.
In his work, done with Chinese ink or watercolor which he mixes with mineral materials, he combines the traditional expression of Chinese painting with the contributions of Western lyrical abstraction trends to offer works which lead you to meditation .
Because unlike Western painting, Chinese painting is not just a visual representation of what the artist sees or imagines, it is more the expression of a way of thinking, highlighting harmony. between man and the universe, and the dynamism of this relationship.
Drawing on the dual tradition of Chinese painting and Western painting, Tan Jian-Chung seeks to liberate the traditional Chinese brush technique to introduce new forms and a technique even freer than Xieyi Hua , (Writing l 'idea or writing the intention), a free drawing where impressions are expressed, by means of ample lines.
Through his Indian ink paintings, he seeks to convey his vision and his feelings about the harmony that should exist between man and nature.
