Description
Litv 1159
In "Horsemen of the Apocalypse," Ukrainian artist Daniil Litvinov unleashes a surreal, almost grotesque vision of chaos and destruction. Rendered in meticulously detailed ink and muted washes of color, the scene is dominated by monstrous figures—part human, part mechanical—engaged in violent motion. The apocalyptic horsemen surge forward, surrounded by contorted bodies, twisted architecture, and disintegrating forms. This work evokes the breakdown of civilization, portraying war, death, and moral collapse with a haunting, almost nightmarish intensity. The figures are exaggerated and symbolic, reflecting the dehumanization and madness that accompanies large-scale catastrophe. Litvinov seems to warn of a world unraveling under the weight of its own sins, while also revealing a dark fascination with myth, prophecy, and the fragile line between order and anarchy.
