messy, if we have to be lucid let's be drunk, if we have ankles, advocate sprains, if we like dough, choose lumps, if there are good ones we prefer idiots! ...

It is on this kind of "idiocy (s) of the real" that Gilen balances and invests an imaginary, mountebank, and visionary world. In short, a permanent world ...

An absurd and burlesque approach, Gilen caricatures the superficial to better consent to the depth. The painting

remains for him a zone of temporary reflection which staggers on (im) perfect territories! These portraits mixed in universal disorder, from “filthy” to bucados, including Dionysos and Carlos, there is only one time: that of the living. Gilen is alive and seems to be alive for a long time, just to piss us off! Cocktail of humor, molotovs, rhythms and looks ... Gilen is there ... The petits fours are already burnt! ... And ... Boom !!! ....
