Description
This artwork masterfully blends classical and contemporary elements, showcasing a Greco-Roman-style bust enveloped in a whirlwind of dynamic colors and textures. The sculpture, rendered with remarkable attention to detail, captures the serene expression and flowing hair associated with ancient art. However, the backdrop defies tradition, erupting with vibrant splashes of orange, blue, and purple, creating an energetic contrast. The textured application of paint adds depth and movement, pushing the boundaries between the sculpture and abstract elements. This juxtaposition highlights the timeless beauty of classical forms while celebrating the chaotic vibrancy of modern art. The piece invites viewers to explore the intersection of history and innovation, offering a fresh perspective on the enduring influence of antiquity in contemporary creativity.
Presentation
Born in Italy in 1991, he began drawing in his adolescence, drawn to the worlds of comics, graffiti, and illustration. In 2010, he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, where he deepened his exploration of traditional techniques while expanding his practice through workshops and ateliers across the city. Influenced by Italian masters such as FP Michetti, GA Sartorio, and D. Morelli, as well as modern artists like Paul Klee and Wassily Kandinsky, his work blends the structure of classical figurative painting with the spontaneity of abstraction and informal art.
In 2022, he further expanded his artistic research through stone carving at the School of Arts and Crafts in Rome.
He currently collaborates with several prominent Italian galleries, including the Tobian Art Gallery in Florence, and his works are held in private collections worldwide.
