Description
This intriguing work exploits the technique of pointillism with exceptional mastery. Through a palette dominated by blue, the artist creates an ethereal face that mysteriously emerges from the textured background. The points, skillfully distributed, evoke a play of shadow and light, giving depth and dynamism to the portrait. The superposition of blueish nuances and negative spaces accentuates the spectral aspect of the image, captivating the eye and sparking the imagination. The bold choice of monochrome colors conveys a dreamlike atmosphere, while allowing an intense concentration on the details of the face. This subtle play between abstraction and figuration testifies to a bold exploration of the limits between the invisible and the visible. The work, both enigmatic and striking, questions our perception and invites prolonged contemplation.
Presentation
Visual artist, born in 1965, engaged in a long-standing approach where painting is a space for experimentation and the search for textures. The work is structured around the material, superimpositions, and the creation of works on canvas or paper, exploring visual contrasts and subtle reliefs. A personal and patient artistic approach, far from the major institutional circuits, rooted in the daily practice of the studio.
