Description

Rift of Blue and White with Golden Citrine Textures – Abstract Geometric Mixed Media Artwork.

This artwork is like a crack in reality — not something breaking apart, but something opening up. Bold geometric planes in deep blue, crisp white, and black collide at a fracture, where golden citrine gemstones and textured silver explode into view. It's a visual metaphor for those moments when life feels split open — but instead of collapse, something new and luminous is revealed. The piece balances order and chaos, control and spontaneity, like a reminder that every rupture is also a beginning. Made with acrylic, texture paste, and real citrines on canvas, it offers a dynamic play of flat surfaces and tactile textures that shift with the light. Measuring 60×60 cm, this mixed media artwork comes ready to hang and adds a striking contemporary edge to any modern space. Perfect as a conversation starter, a thoughtful gift, or simply as a daily reminder that cracks don't mean endings — they mean transformation.

Presentation

Veronika Obushikhina is a contemporary artist based in Spain. She was born in Russia in 1976 and has lived and worked in Spain since 2010. With a background in management, psychology, and linguistics, she brings a multifaceted perception of the world to her practice, allowing her to explore human experience and inner states through her art. In 2023, she completed her studies at the International School of Contemporary Creativity (Spain) and fully devoted herself to art.

Veronika's creative path led through various forms — from jewelry making to decorative techniques — until she consciously turned to painting. Through exploration and doubt, she developed her own artistic language: strict, minimalist, filled with inner tension and a focus on form.

At the core of her work lies the metaphor of antifragility — an inner strength that emerges not in spite of pressure, but because of it. Her paintings reflect states of intense tension, edges, and fracture — moments where, instead of breaking down, something new is born.

Her works are marked by visual rigor and aesthetic purity. For Veronika, form matters as much as meaning — each element is crafted with precision, rhythm, and expressiveness. Her goal is a clarity where discipline meets sensitivity and tension meets silence.

Veronika's artworks are part of private collections in Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the United States.
