Description
Cupid Valentine On Frame is an explosion of color and energy where classical iconography meets the vitality of urban art.
At the center, the figure of Cupid, timeless symbol of love, appears almost photographic in style, yet disrupted by drips, splashes, and colorful overlays that propel him into a contemporary, vibrant dimension.
Created with mixed techniques — acrylic paint, spray paint, markers, pencil, and stencils — the work juxtaposes precision and spontaneity. The incandescent background, dominated by reds and oranges, radiates like a passionate aura, while bursts of pink, green, and blue fragment the image, creating a striking contrast between angelic softness and expressive force.
The white frame sketched around the character acts as a symbolic opening: Cupid seems to step out, projecting himself toward the viewer, reminding us that love, in all its intensity, transcends boundaries and invades space.
With Cupid Valentine On Frame, Mikko reinvents the myth of Cupid as an urban icon — at once tender and explosive — where love unfolds within the luminous chaos of modern cities.
Presentation
Mikko est considéré, aujourd’hui, comme un street artiste émergent. Avant de commencer à peindre, Mikko, a travaillé plus de 15 ans dans l'ingénierie des produits, les nouvelles solutions conceptuelles et les départements techniques de diverses industries.
Il a débuté sa carrière d artiste en 1999 et, comme la plupart des street artistes Mikko préfère resté anonyme autant que possible.
L’artiste a eu l'occasion de travailler dans des activités industrielles très différentes, ce qui lui a donné l'opportunité de grandir, de connaître de nouvelles tendances artistiques et de développer ses compétences.
Mikko aime que son art soit montré comme les matériaux et les techniques utilisés dans la rue. Il a été influencé par les œuvres d'Andy Warhol, Bansky, Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring et bien d'autres.
Ses œuvres sont agrémentées de graffitis, d'écritures, de paillettes, de peinture en spray, de peinture acrylique et de marqueurs à stylo, ce qui les rend très uniques.
Les œuvres de Mikko sont exposées dans de nombreuses galeries du monde entier.
