Born in 1987 in New Caledonia, a self-taught artist based in the Paris region, I navigate between two worlds, building bridges between the familiar and the fantastic. After a traditional academic career, I devoted myself fully to creation, exploring a multitude of mediums: music, writing, visual art.
My beginnings as an artist were on paper, where I developed a black and white style before turning to acrylic painting. It is through this technique that I bring my passion for Japanese animation and comics to life. As a child of the 90s, I was influenced by the aesthetics and programs of Club Dorothée. I then appropriated the codes of manga to create colorful and dynamic works, demonstrating my deep attachment to this universe. My works capture the pop energy and nostalgia of a fantasized past.
While continuing to explore the world of painting, I am now expanding my creative field with digital drawing. This new practice allows me to explore a darker and more mysterious universe, tinged with surrealism. My influences are then nourished by a rich artistic heritage, mixing the dramatic intensity of Caravaggio, the masters of surrealism of HR Giger, and Zdzislaw Beksinski, the baroque sculptures of Kris Kuksi as well as references to the art of tattooing (neo-traditional and old school style) and my passion for esotericism. My "theatrical" compositions evoke a staging on the edge of reality and imagination.
Today, I navigate between these two artistic poles: the pop and colorful universe on the one hand, and a more baroque and esoteric aesthetic on the other. It is a duality and a dialogue between very opposing worlds and it is at the heart of my artistic approach.
