Description
This impressive diptych merges two legendary protagonists from the anime, Naruto Uzumaki and Son Goku, with the Japanese artisanal technique of , elevating their figures to the rank of collectible ceramic sculptures. In the left panel, an expressive close-up of Naruto executing a hand position () reveals a pale porcelain skin streaked with fine veins of molten gold that spread across his face, his ninja headband, and his orange jacket with floral details; in the right panel, Goku stands imposing with his arms crossed, showing a sculpted anatomy with the same pattern of golden cracks on his skin and his classic blue and orange attire adorned. The work is distinguished by its lacquered finishes with a very bright sheen, refined dark backgrounds with traditional cherry blossom patterns and a handling of light that lends surprising three-dimensionality and a mystical air of resilience.
