Description
This breathtaking work fuses classicism and modernity with striking audacity. At the center, a sculptural bust evokes a mythological figure, accentuated by a grisaille treatment that highlights every detail of the beard and imposing features. The juxtaposition of colorful graffiti in the background adds a contemporary dimension, creating a dynamic and energetic contrast. The bursts of vibrant color—blue, pink, green—swirl around this imposing face, symbolizing a collision between past and present. The laurel wreath motifs and floral elements embedded in the hair offer a certain majesty, while white splashes evoke transition and movement. This composition embodies the harmony between tradition and innovation, capturing the timeless essence of art in a vibrant new light.
Presentation
Born in 1979, Mr. Mollotov is a self-taught artist fascinated by portraits. His ultra realistic paintings are painted with an airbrush, a technique in which he excels. His technique combining shades of gray and play of shadows reveals impressive 3-dimensional portraits of realism.
