Description
This captivating sculpture depicts a gorilla in a dynamic and powerful pose. The contrast between the stark white of its base and the vivid paint splashes of green, red, and yellow immediately catches the eye. Each color appears boldly applied, adding an energetic and chaotic dimension to the work. The splashes evoke an imagery of brute strength and wild artistic expression. The gorilla's well-defined and muscular limbs reinforce the impression of power. The gorilla's open mouth, poised to roar, intensifies the dramatic effect. The use of vibrant colors on a realistic form creates an intriguing fusion of nature and contemporary art. This gorilla not only represents a simple animal, but becomes a bold artistic statement, merging animal energy with human creativity.
Presentation
Born in 1979, Mr. Mollotov is a self-taught artist fascinated by portraits. His ultra realistic paintings are painted with an airbrush, a technique in which he excels. His technique combining shades of gray and play of shadows reveals impressive 3-dimensional portraits of realism.
