The painting Intervals is created in oil using the technique of impulsive gesture, where free movement merges with carefully considered layering. Here, each stratum of paint is more than a visual element — it becomes a mark of time, a hidden metaphor for space in which past and future, light and shadow, breath and pause intersect.
Warm golden ochres flow seamlessly into deep, dark tones, engaging in dialogue with the translucent haze of the lower layers. These chromatic interactions evoke a rhythm akin to the beating of a heart or the breathing of the earth. Within the very structure of the work lies the idea of intervals — pauses and spaces that at once divide and unite. From them arises the unseen: a veil, a mirage, a trace of memory.
