Pulsation of time, 2024

Oksana Reva

In Pulsation of Time, the artist turns to the technique of impulsive gesture, intertwining it with delicate, translucent glazing. The multilayered texture forms a space that seems to breathe with the centuries: the paint settles in strata, like layers of earth preserving traces of memory.
Soft sandy ochres intertwine with cool gray-blues and barely perceptible crimson accents. This chromatic dialogue evokes a sense of antiquity, as if the surface of the canvas itself carries the secret imprints of time.
The composition awakens associations with cities and landscapes that once existed and have since dissolved into history, leaving only a fragile echo in memory. While a landscape may be suggested, the work transcends mere depiction — it becomes a metaphorical state, an intimate reflection on eternity and the pulsation of life that binds nature, history, and humanity into one continuous rhythm.
Pulsation of Time invites not only the gaze but also attentive listening — to hear the quiet whisper of space, where each touch of the brush transforms into an echo of the past and a premonition of the future. The work was featured in a personal exhibition at the exhibition space "Marea Porto"Monenegro,2024 г.
