The Oil painting on Cardboard titled “Autumn silence on the road" beautifully encapsulates the serene stillness and reflective calm of an autumn day. This work draws the viewer into a landscape where the vibrancy of seasonal change is palpable, yet balanced by a deep sense of quietude and contemplation. The scene is centered around a country road, stretching into the distance, bordered by trees whose foliage has turned into a dazzling display of gold, orange, and rust. The brushstrokes are bold and textured, reflecting both the fleeting dynamism of nature and the permanence of its cycles. The artist captures not just the visual splendor of fall, but the atmosphere of silence that often accompanies such moments, when the air itself seems to pause and hold its breath. The left side of the composition is dominated by tall trees in full autumnal glory. Their leaves are rendered in thick, impasto strokes of fiery oranges and luminous yellows, interspersed with darker shadows that hint at the lingering greens now overtaken by the season. These trees rise into a sky painted in clear, vivid blues, with streaks of soft lavender and white clouds drifting across, suggesting the cool clarity of autumn air. The interplay of warm and cool tones creates a harmony that evokes both the energy of transition and the peace of acceptance. The road itself, painted in light ochres and muted grays, cuts through the composition as a path of stillness, a metaphor for quiet journeys and reflective wandering. It stretches away into the horizon, bordered by shadows that hint at the day's passing light. This road, devoid of people or movement, becomes a symbol of solitude, inviting the viewer to step into the canvas and follow its silent course. It is not a road of hurried travel, but one of slow contemplation, where every step allows space for thought and appreciation of the surrounding beauty. On the right, the darker silhouettes of evergreen trees rise, their deep greens and browns contrasting with the brilliance of the autumn foliage opposite them. This contrast intensifies the scene's drama, emphasizing the fleeting nature of autumnal color against the steadiness of evergreens that stand unchanged across seasons. Together, these elements create a balance—vivid transformation mirrored by enduring constancy.

Works by Boris Serdyuk are held in museums in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, as well as in private collections in Ukraine, European countries, the USA, Israel, and other countries.
In 2018, the artist entered the global art space of the creative platform in New York, where seven of his works were included in the catalog "Painting & Graphics."
Currently lives and works in Kremenchuk, Poltava Region.
Took his first steps in the world of visual arts within the walls of his local school, then studied at Yuriev-Polsky Pedagogical School. After graduation, he returned to his homeland and started working as a drawing and painting teacher.
Later, he realized that for an artist, creative freedom is essential. Thus, after seventeen years of teaching, he left the profession to focus on his creative work. The artist is content to have the opportunity to engage in his beloved craft, which he considers the meaning of his life.
His journey had its ups and downs, victories in competitions, and recognition from admirers, yet he never ceased his determined quest for his artistic path. In ancient times, "serdyuk" referred to professional infantrymen in the Cossack ranks. This heritage likely passed down not only the surname but also many Cossack traits to the artist, including hard work, modesty, and human dignity.
Boris Serdyuk creates in genres such as portrait, landscape, and thematic composition. His works are varied, reflecting the artist's impressions of the places he visited. Among them are picturesque corners of Kremenchuk and Dnipro views, urban and maritime landscapes, the grandeur of the Carpathian Mountains, and cozy Ukrainian villages. His canvases are intriguing in terms of color and relatively compositionally perfect, revealing the life of nature at the time of their execution.
There are also commissioned portraits and paintings, such as "Shevchenko in Baturyn." He spent over a year working on it, studying the architecture of the former hetman capital. However, the artist prefers to work swiftly, capturing the vision of a painting before it fades from his mind and before the sun changes its angle and shadows. On average, according to the artist, he spends about 40 minutes on a single landscape.
Boris successfully combines a poetic perception of the world and a deep understanding of nature with brilliant artistic execution. His paintings exude a special light and a delicate sense of nature – vivid colors on the canvas resonate with intermediate tones. The artist has abandoned contours, replacing them with separate and contrasting brushstrokes; his paintings amaze with colors, not only their diversity but also the amount of substance applied to the canvas – vibrant, vivid, voluminous.
Describing the master's works is a challenging task. Boris Serdyuk's works are special – they are painted with soul. One must see and feel the wonderful harmony of nature on the artist's canvases firsthand and touch the great mystery of Art.
