The Oil painting on Cardboard titled “Leaves whisper beneath your feet" captures the very essence of autumn's tender, fleeting beauty and the intimacy it creates between people and the natural world. The scene unfolds in a quiet park, where the season has dressed the trees in dazzling hues of gold, orange, and amber. The artist conveys the tactile, almost audible presence of fallen leaves, suggesting that with every step, the earth hums a soft melody, a gentle whisper beneath the feet of those who wander through. This work is more than a landscape; it is a celebration of the sensory experience of autumn—sight, sound, and feeling all bound into one poetic image. At the center of the composition, two figures stroll down a sun-dappled path, their forms small yet significant against the grandeur of the towering trees. The woman in a light dress and her companion evoke an image of calm companionship, perhaps lovers or close friends, bound together in the shared moment of walking beneath the canopy of autumn leaves. Their presence introduces a deeply human element, reminding the viewer that nature's quiet song is best experienced not in isolation but in communion. The path itself is painted in rich tones of purple, brown, and muted pink, its uneven strokes echoing the layered texture of fallen leaves scattered upon the ground. The trees, bold and resplendent, dominate the canvas with their radiant foliage. On the left, cooler greens remain, clinging to the memory of summer, while at the center and right, the vibrant yellows and fiery oranges declare autumn in its fullest splendor. The thick, impasto strokes suggest not just the color of the leaves but their texture—the crisp crackle of those on the ground, the soft flutter of those still caught by branches swaying in the breeze. The juxtaposition of light and shadow, of warm brilliance against the cooler depths of the background, creates a dynamic tension that mirrors the season itself: the brightness of life at its zenith and the quiet acknowledgment of its impending decline. The play of light across the scene intensifies the atmosphere. Golden sunlight filters through the branches, casting warm highlights on the grassy patches below and illuminating the figures on the path.

Works by Boris Serdyuk are held in museums in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, as well as in private collections in Ukraine, European countries, the USA, Israel, and other countries.
In 2018, the artist entered the global art space of the creative platform in New York, where seven of his works were included in the catalog "Painting & Graphics."
Currently lives and works in Kremenchuk, Poltava Region.
Took his first steps in the world of visual arts within the walls of his local school, then studied at Yuriev-Polsky Pedagogical School. After graduation, he returned to his homeland and started working as a drawing and painting teacher.
Later, he realized that for an artist, creative freedom is essential. Thus, after seventeen years of teaching, he left the profession to focus on his creative work. The artist is content to have the opportunity to engage in his beloved craft, which he considers the meaning of his life.
His journey had its ups and downs, victories in competitions, and recognition from admirers, yet he never ceased his determined quest for his artistic path. In ancient times, "serdyuk" referred to professional infantrymen in the Cossack ranks. This heritage likely passed down not only the surname but also many Cossack traits to the artist, including hard work, modesty, and human dignity.
Boris Serdyuk creates in genres such as portrait, landscape, and thematic composition. His works are varied, reflecting the artist's impressions of the places he visited. Among them are picturesque corners of Kremenchuk and Dnipro views, urban and maritime landscapes, the grandeur of the Carpathian Mountains, and cozy Ukrainian villages. His canvases are intriguing in terms of color and relatively compositionally perfect, revealing the life of nature at the time of their execution.
There are also commissioned portraits and paintings, such as "Shevchenko in Baturyn." He spent over a year working on it, studying the architecture of the former hetman capital. However, the artist prefers to work swiftly, capturing the vision of a painting before it fades from his mind and before the sun changes its angle and shadows. On average, according to the artist, he spends about 40 minutes on a single landscape.
Boris successfully combines a poetic perception of the world and a deep understanding of nature with brilliant artistic execution. His paintings exude a special light and a delicate sense of nature – vivid colors on the canvas resonate with intermediate tones. The artist has abandoned contours, replacing them with separate and contrasting brushstrokes; his paintings amaze with colors, not only their diversity but also the amount of substance applied to the canvas – vibrant, vivid, voluminous.
Describing the master's works is a challenging task. Boris Serdyuk's works are special – they are painted with soul. One must see and feel the wonderful harmony of nature on the artist's canvases firsthand and touch the great mystery of Art.
