N° 1283 La Croix-Rousse. Lire, rêver, rigoler : le bonheur., 2024

R. Cavalié

If we assume that the baby nestled under the booklet where we can read egg (narrative and symbolic focal point), is indeed a little "ballsy", this work, completely devoid of female presence, as aggressive in colours as it is prolific in hard geometric lines, nevertheless proves to be lavish in both harmony and extreme gentleness.

It must be said that the artist saw the little boy with long hair take off and arrange his sneakers all by himself before lying down on the rug (surely he's used to it!) and was able to speak beforehand with the charming Alain, head of the Youth sector, who told him that, almost daily, a particular subscriber came to visit the library, namely a grey cat, unfortunately absent at that time.

To the question, "Can you send me some photos? It's not urgent at all." Alain replied that he would ask his landlord because, well, you have to be careful about image rights! Laughter.

A month later, on the phone, the artist informed him not to worry about the photos after all, because she had invented the cat on her canvas, but wondered about the spelling: "Is his name GAS or GAZ?" and the charming Alain retorted: "I would write GAS, but actually, it doesn't matter, he can't read!"
