Description

"Abstract Seascape Sunset" - Original Oil Painting with Evocative Blues and Oranges (80x80 cm)

This stunning original oil on canvas, titled "Abstract Seascape Sunset," captures the ephemeral beauty of twilight meeting the ocean in an abstract, evocative manner. The artist's bold yet delicate application of oil paints, particularly the interplay of rich blues and warm oranges, creates a mesmerizing visual dialogue. Layers of misty grays and soft purples add depth and a touch of gentle melancholy to the scene, while pops of golden yellow suggest the last rays of the setting sun breaking through the clouds.

The tactile quality of the impasto technique brings the artwork to life, offering a sensory experience that goes beyond mere sight. It's an artwork designed to evoke feelings of peace, wonder, and a connection to the vastness of the natural world. Imagine the soothing rhythm of waves, the gentle breeze, and the feeling of quiet reflection that this "Abstract Seascape Sunset" inspires.

This piece is a perfect example of contemporary abstract art that can transform any room. It's ideal for individuals who love to infuse their living spaces with emotion and a sense of sophisticated calm. This 80x80 cm artwork is a significant addition for anyone looking to curate a unique art collection or find that truly special, memorable gift. Presentation

Olga Ponomarenko is a contemporary painter whose practice bridges impressionism, abstraction, and expressive realism. Trained in the studios of established artists, she has developed a distinctive style that combines oil on canvas with bold impasto techniques. Working with both brush and palette knife, she builds textured surfaces where cityscapes, landscapes, and natural motifs unfold in luminous, layered hues. Her art radiates beauty and emotional depth, inviting viewers into an intimate dialogue with the world around them.

Ponomarenko's favorite style is impressionism, which she enriches with expressive abstraction. Her works often emerge from everyday observations—walks in the forest, travels, or moments in her own garden. This grounding in lived experience allows her paintings to resonate with sincerity while capturing fleeting light, atmosphere, and mood.

She is an active participant in the Russian and international art scene, regularly presenting her work at exhibitions and fairs. Recent highlights include at the Antique Center on Sadovoye (Moscow, 2025); at Manezh (Moscow, 2024); the All-Russian Painting and Graphics Competition at Ars Gallery (Moscow, 2024); at Art Box Gallery (2023–2024); and and at Artnagrada (Moscow, 2023). She also participated in the at Artona Gallery (Moscow, 2023).

Her works are held in private collections across Russia, the United States, England, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Canada. Ponomarenko's practice reflects her belief that art is everywhere—waiting to be seen in a landscape, a street, or a garden—and her paintings transform these moments into textured, expressive canvases that celebrate light, form, and feeling.
