Description
Watercolor, acrylic, and ink with added gold motifs on smooth paper to give the impression of crumpled paper. Dimensions: 30 cm x 42 cm. Dimensions with black mat: 40 cm x 50 cm.
This artwork depicts an enigmatic woman within a lush, natural setting. The palette of greens and browns blends harmoniously, symbolizing a profound connection with nature. The woman's flowing hair mingles with the foliage, blurring the lines between human and plant. Her piercing gaze, accentuated by delicate shading, draws the viewer into intense contemplation. Splashes of paint add unexpected dynamism, evoking spontaneity. The architectural elements in the background provide a modern contrast that enriches the composition. This juxtaposition of natural and urban elements is thought-provoking, questioning our place in the natural world. A captivating work that invites us to rediscover our connection with nature.
Presentation
Christy, painter, France.
Born in Paris, Christine Gautheron-Pette (Christy), Creative Painter.
After having studied Fine Arts and Decorative Arts, then having worked in various artistic specialities, passing among others from "Decoration" to "Teaching", I can say that Art has always been the driving force of my life. Thus, it has become an essential means of expression for my balance, allowing me to free myself from the stress and excessive patience that teaching a wide range of people causes on a daily basis (young children, teenagers, adults, bi-polar, disabled, autistic, etc.).
I like to share my passion, but also to escape and paint with different materials on different supports even if my preference is watercolour; according to my inspirations, or by working from a photo, or by sketching and capturing an expression and a look during my different trips around the world; without forgetting my fascination for colours.
