Description
This artwork captures a serene moment on a sunlit boardwalk, leading to the beach. A young child, wrapped in a vivid blue towel, confidently strides forward, embodying innocence and anticipation. The clever composition is divided into two horizontal sections, creating a dynamic visual narrative. The top section highlights the child from behind, while the lower section offers a focused view of their feet. This dual perspective invites viewers to appreciate the simplicity of movement and the tactile sensation of sand underfoot. The sandy path, bordered by lush coastal vegetation, guides the eye towards a distant horizon. The warm, natural palette and interplay of light and shadow emphasize the tranquility and nostalgic charm of a leisurely day by the sea. This piece uniquely blends realism with an engaging composition, drawing the viewer into a moment of quiet reflection and youthful exploration.
Presentation
She was a pupil of Professor D. Francisco López Carballo in Santiago de Compostela (La Coruña). Years later, in 1971, he emigrated to Switzerland where he worked and cultivated painting and languages at the same time.
Many of his poems will be born from the immense desire for his Galician land, which will later take shape in some of his works, most of them are a hymn to Galicia, to motherhood, to nature and to life . From 1971, he traveled to Zurich, Lausanne, Geneva, Rotterdam, Breda, Bordeaux, etc., where he painted on the banks of the Rhine and exhibited in some of these places.
Already in Spain she practiced teaching until her retirement as a teacher in 2013. She continues to dedicate herself to painting as one of the passions that fills her life.
