Description
For a moment, time stood still. Why is it that certain moments in our lives, which are ultimately just inconsequential hiccups, become imprinted on our memory, acting on us like a revealer? Some even unmask latent fears.
On the path of speech, words flow smoothly, they align, they glide, sometimes they jostle each other, so vivid and countless are they, but very quickly they resume their course, more playful, as if relieved to have avoided the fray. But on this path, when a crack appears, when words vanish, apprehension arises, even fear: why do the words withdraw, have they disappeared? Whose, what's holding them captive? What are we without words?
In the distance, a bench, an invitation to sit down, to collect oneself, to seek out the strays who had wandered off. It is like a mental bandwidth, the lost words cover it, they reappear as if blown by a playful breeze.
In reality, the words were waiting to be found; they had played hide-and-seek, with the sole purpose of making fun of our fears.
P.S. It's also a lucky memory, it could have been lost along the way!
Presentation
Born in Paris, living in Paris. Christine Beloeuvre worked for over 30 years in Advertising in France, Africa, and Asia.
In 2016, when she had stopped her work as an advertiser, one ordinary day, she woke up energized by an intense impulse: to get drawing paper, brushes, and tubes of acrylic paint. This day would not be ordinary but decisive. Passionate about art, about creation in all its forms, Christine Beloeuvre finally discovers an artistic mode of expression in her image, combining a keen sense of color with a brimming imagination.
She undertakes to learn the techniques of acrylic painting and until now will not stop taking classes with an art teacher to improve. She began this activity with paper, focusing on color combinations to create shapes with complete freedom. Quickly, she converted to wooden panels and uses the collage technique applied on landscape backgrounds that she paints herself. Since 2021, Christine Beloeuvre has become an artist-painter practicing only acrylic painting on canvas.
Distorting everyday objects becomes her source of creation. According to her, we create links with them, they are an integral part of our lives. She does not consider them only as functional objects, she attributes symbolic power to them. Her credo is "Objects have so much to say...".
Christine Beloeuvre presents her work at Salons and exhibitions in galleries in Paris.
