Description
This work by Alex Kuznetsov unfolds like a form suspended between tension and erasure.
A large, circular, almost lunar mass emerges from the surface, traversed by oblique lines and a darker vertical, like a tipping point. Shades of gray, transparencies, and traces of matter compose an unstable space, where form seems to simultaneously appear and dissolve. The whole evokes a fragile equilibrium, a contained inner movement, on the border between geometric construction and sensitive intuition.
Presentation
Alex Kuznetsov (b. 1978) is a Lisbon-based artist whose work engages abstraction as a method of resistance — to speed, to spectacle, to surface legibility. His compositions emerge through slow, layered processes where gesture, duration, and structure become inseparable. Rather than images, they are conditions: spaces for perception to stretch and recalibrate.
