Description
Presentation
I practise abstract painting that has no subject or concept other than painting itself. This painting can be summed up in the primacy of matter and colour and the forms and light produced by these two entities. From cave painting to the present day, there are paths that are considered secondary, which only painters tend to take because they consider them essential.
I am always amazed by the original beauty that emerges from them, just as, I presume, the anonymous painter of Lascaux or Chauvet was amazed. Talking about my painting seems futile to me, because a painting reveals itself at a glance to everyone, whether learned or ignorant, and no explanation will ever do justice to the emotion it evokes. What I can say is that throughout my journey as a painter, painting and I have never strayed from our path.
