Description
This provocative artwork juxtaposes an assemblage of US one-dollar bills with the bold message "MONEY IS NOT A CRIME" painted in vibrant red letters. The composition is striking in its simplicity and visual power, raising questions about morality and the perception of wealth. Each bill, uniformly arranged, evokes a sense of repetition and consumption, while the bright red text, applied directly to the currency, draws attention with its striking visual contrast. This artistic choice prompts reflection on the complex relationship between money and social ethics. The work challenges the viewer to reconsider their preconceptions about capitalism and the guilt associated with wealth. This direct and uncompromising confrontation makes this piece a powerful and unforgettable social commentary.
Presentation
RAZE is a contemporary artist working within the Pop & Street Art universe, known for his striking, urban, and resolutely modern visual language. His work is distinguished by a spontaneous approach to painting, blending energetic gestures, vibrant colors, and raw textures inspired by street aesthetics.
The artist creates both unique pieces and limited edition series, each enhanced by hand, making every work truly one-of-a-kind. This manual intervention brings depth, texture, and singularity to each creation.
RAZE's works are appealing because of their strong visual impact, their distinctly contemporary character, and their ability to fit seamlessly into both modern interiors and urban art collections.
