Presentation
Alina O'Dwyer is a contemporary artist currently living and working in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Her artistic journey began in 2019, when she studied under the mentorship of contemporary artist Natalia Sopina at a private art studio in Prague, Czech Republic. In 2025, she furthered her education at the British Higher School of Art and Design in Moscow.
Alina has presented two solo exhibitions. Her first solo show, Searching for Femininity, was held in March 2022 at Ezra's Art Space in Prague, Holešovice. The second solo exhibition, Tapestry of Colourful Creatures and Inspiring Portraits, took place in October 2024 at the Radisson Red Hotel in Dubai, UAE.
In addition to her solo exhibitions, Alina has participated in numerous group shows. Notably, she took part in World Art Dubai in both 2024 and 2025. Her artwork Frida Kahlo was selected from over 5,000 submissions by the NFT NYC team and was featured on the iconic Times Square Billboard in New York City—one of only 60 works chosen for this prestigious display.
Currently, Alina is working on a new collection titled Desert Life, which is being developed for an upcoming exhibition in the United Arab Emirates.
Alina O'Dwyer's artistic practice is rooted in a deep reverence for nature and a call to environmental awareness. For her, freedom lives in wild, untamed landscapes—spaces increasingly threatened by industrial expansion and urban development. Through her work, she advocates for the protection of the natural world, using visual language as a form of activism. Her paintings capture the raw beauty of wildlife and fragile ecosystems, serving as both a tribute and a warning. By bringing these subjects into focus, O'Dwyer reminds viewers of what is at stake—and urges us not to remain silent.
