Description
Urban art meets surrealism here. An amphibian with violet hues dominates the center of the composition. Its skin, worked with precision, presents a singular alveolate relief. The gaze is fixed, almost human.
The background plays on a strong graphic contrast. A gray and black checkerboard structures the space. Splashes of yellow, pink, and green paint break this geometric rigor. These projections bring a spontaneous energy to the whole.
The artist explores the animal kingdom here through the codes of Pop Art. The use of acrylic allows for saturated colors and sharp outlines. The treatment of light emphasizes the musculature and texture of the subject.
This painting combines technical rigor and gestural freedom. The contrast between the organic subject and the synthetic background creates a controlled visual tension. The whole unfolds on a square format.
