Iridescent Myocardium, 2025

Giorgia Roversi

This artwork presents a mesmerizing fusion of abstract forms and vibrant colors, creating an otherworldly composition. Central to the piece is a dynamic swirl of pastel hues - pinks, oranges, and blues - flowing in a fluid, organic motion. Encapsulating elements suggest semi-translucent bubbles or orbs that overlap and merge, evoking a sense of depth and dimensionality. Each form is meticulously crafted, showcasing a soft interplay of textured surfaces and glossy finishes, of the subtle gradients and the whimsical shapes reminiscent of both biological structures and fantastical objects.

This piece is one of the central works of the “Organos Oniercos" series by Giorgia Roversi - the series that she describes as the atlas of human emotions. And this is what she says about the meaning of this heart-shaped organ:

"Like a crystal undergoing purification, the myocardium slowly expels its inner stones — emotional concretions, dense memories, fears sedimented over time. Each released fragment lightens the heart's deep structure, which sheds it's opaque, heavy nature to reveal its true form: a shimmering cavity, traversed by light.

Its new iridescence refracts positive emotions like a prism, transforming what was once weight into gentle vibration, into colored breath, into possibility. It is a heart that no longer holds back, but lets flow.

That no longer defends itself with stones, but opens to the light."
