Description
The artist painted this sketch from life in one session, while painting en plein air on the balcony of his hotel in the village of Bali on the island of Crete in Greece.
This artwork presents a serene seascape, capturing the tranquility of a quiet harbor at dusk. The composition features a pier extending into the calm sea, where a few boats and yachts are moored peacefully. The sky above transitions from soft pinks to delicate blues, reflecting subtly on the water's surface, lending a harmonious unity to the scene. The artist's use of muted tones creates a soothing ambiance, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in this tranquil moment. The brushwork is meticulous yet understated, emphasizing the gentle play of light and shadow. The weathered frame complements the artwork's timeless quality, enhancing its aesthetic appeal. This piece uniquely captures the beauty of nature's stillness, offering a moment of introspection and peace.
