This work depicts a classroom transformed into a satirical theater, where each character becomes a social caricature rather than simply a student or teacher.

The composition is dense and dynamic. Several men, all depicted with exaggerated features (prominent noses, distorted postures, grotesque expressions), are seated at desks or interacting with a teacher standing on the right. The teacher, standing before a blackboard, seems to embody academic authority. He holds a ruler and adopts a rigid, almost authoritarian posture. On the blackboard, partially legible handwritten inscriptions reinforce the idea of an intellectual or pedagogical discourse, but their smudged appearance also suggests a critique of this knowledge.

The students, for their part, are not passive: some raise their hands emphatically, others seem distracted (one is chewing gum, pink bubble and all), and several display almost theatrical poses. Energy flows in all directions, creating a tension between imposed discipline and latent chaos.
