Description
Korf 41
Oil painting Black Mountain Natalia Korf-Ivaniuk presents a striking and minimalist interpretation of landscape, where form, texture, and contrast define the visual impact. The artist masterfully constructs the composition through bold, sculptural application of paint, allowing the dark mountain mass to emerge with powerful presence against a light, open background. The balance between negative space and dense texture creates a sense of scale and quiet tension. Korf-Ivaniuk demonstrates exceptional control of material and color, using deep blues and blacks contrasted with soft whites and subtle green accents. The thick, expressive layers give the surface a tactile, almost relief-like quality, while restrained details suggest distance and atmosphere. This confident approach highlights the artist's ability to convey depth and emotion with minimal elements. This original artwork is a compelling example of contemporary abstract landscape painting, ideal for modern interiors and collectors seeking bold, refined pieces. It brings a sense of strength, stillness, and artistic clarity into any space, making it a distinctive addition to a curated art collection.
Presentation
Natalia Korf-Ivanyuk (b. 1985, Kremenchuk, Ukraine) is a contemporary Ukrainian artist whose work blends ethnic symbolism, poetic abstraction, and refined painterly expression. After graduating from Poltava National Yuri Kondratyuk University, she remained there as a lecturer in the Department of Fine and Decorative Arts. Since 2010, she has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and an active participant in exhibitions, plein airs, and international art projects.
Working in oil, mixed media, and graphic techniques, Korf-Ivanyuk creates visually striking compositions inspired by Ukrainian cultural heritage, nature, and the connection between past and present. Her paintings often feature abstracted botanical forms that transform into symbolic, almost living entities. Through luminous color fields, elegant lines, and layered textures, she builds harmonious compositions filled with movement and emotional depth.
Her artistic language is distinguished by a balance between decorative sophistication and philosophical content. Simple motifs evolve into metaphorical images that evoke memory, identity, and the quiet poetry of everyday life. This distinctive style, combined with refined color relationships and a strong sense of composition, makes her work instantly recognizable.
Korf-Ivanyuk has participated in numerous exhibitions across Ukraine and Europe and is regularly represented in galleries and curated art projects. Her works are held in museum and private collections, including the Museum of Contemporary Art of Ukraine, and are increasingly sought after by collectors for their originality, cultural resonance, and contemporary aesthetic.
