Description
The line asserts itself with a frank freedom. This abstract portrait deconstructs the forms to explore the structure of the face. The influence of cubism is read in the fragmentation of the planes. Each thick and assured black line comes to scand the composition.
The chromatic play opposes areas of cream light to darker blocks. Touches of ochre and orange bring immediate warmth to the center of the image. These contrasts create a striking visual relief. The gaze, treated with precision, anchors the work in a human dimension.
The acrylic technique allows for rich superimpositions. Spontaneous drips are observed which add an organic rhythm to the whole. The neutral background leaves place to the pure expression of the gesture. This painting, created in 2026, combines graphic rigor and spontaneity. The final rendering emphasizes a search for the duality between order and chaos. The whole stabilizes on a dark and horizontal base.

Born in Paris, this Belgian artist quickly cast her admiring gaze on the works of Picasso and Cubism in general.
From an early age, it was in Bali that she discovered her artistic universe. A transmission, a revelation. Léa Vandeveld then developed Make-up for Art, an innovative eco-responsible concept of painting with recycled make-up, celebrated during the Vogue evening in Paris for the Paul & Joe brand. A first recognition at the age of 17, but above all, a tremendous stimulation to set off for new horizons, two of which in particular: Bali and India, after meeting the patron Dimitri Klein, became his sources of inspiration and his new world. . A spiritual journey, luminous and deep, but also technical with the meeting of many artists.
With her acrylic, her bombs, her pastels, Léa sees big, very big, her paintings too.
His artistic approach and his personal journey merge. "Art must have meaning and I want to give back to life what it brings me".
