Description
This oil painting captures the gaze with a marked chromatic contrast. Orange tulips bloom in an intense red vase. The bouquet leaps out naturally. The leaves of a deep green structure the composition.
The dark purple background accentuates the luminosity of the flowers. The surface on which the vase rests is dressed in a bright pink. Every brushstroke is visible. The material brings a tangible texture to the scene.
The figurative approach here favors the tenderness and simplicity of everyday life. The painting invites a contemplative pause. It captures a moment of domestic serenity.
The light seems to emanate from the petals themselves. The shades of red and pink create a warm harmony. The whole exudes an intimate and soothing atmosphere.
This composition dated 2026 plays on colored flat areas and generous touches. It transforms a classic decorative object into a sensory exploration. The pictorial touch emphasizes the roundness of the vase and the delicacy of the flowers.
Presentation
Born in 1988 in Paris, Chloé Mugler lives and works in Fougères, Brittany.
Through painting, she develops a pictorial practice centered on gentleness as a form of resistance. Gentleness of simple gestures and precious moments of everyday life, but above all gentleness as a transformative power in the world around us.
Beyond form, she seeks to convey an intimate and tender atmosphere. Painting then becomes a space for slowing down and an invitation to inhabit the present moment, to stop, look, and fully experience the joy of being alive.
His work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Rennes and Paris, notably at the Salon d'Automne.
