Description
An abstract composition where the material imposes itself forcefully. The eye scans a network of broken lines and colored blocks.
White dominates and structures the space. It brings a cold light that contrasts with touches of ochre and solar yellow.
Areas of deep blue and black anchor the canvas. These dark hues create a marked visual relief. The pigments interweave in successive layers. The gesture is fast, almost jerky. Each brushstroke leaves a visible trace. The surface alternates between smooth areas and denser impasto.
This approach suggests an urban landscape or fragmented architecture. The verticality of the lines guides the reading towards the top of the composition.
The balance rests on the opposition between the clarity of the background and the density of the chromatic centers. The whole exudes a raw and controlled energy. The canvas ends with light drips and areas of transparency in bluish tones.
