Description
Energy dominates this abstract composition. A deep blue structures the space. It opposes a brilliant white light that passes through the center. The gesture is fast. Free. Almost instinctive.
Touches of red and yellow emerge with intensity. They punctuate the painting like shards of raw color. Black brings graphic rigor. It traces vertical lines and sharp angles. The material is worked generously. The thickness of the paint applied with the knife is discernible.
The contrast of the hues creates a constant visual tension. The eye navigates between the calm azure areas and the areas of organized chaos. The composition plays on the balance between empty and full. The blue background fragments under the effect of nervous strokes.
It is a dialogue between force and lightness. The white seems to push the colors towards the edges of the support. Some red drips emphasize the verticality of the whole. The overall impression is one of perpetual movement. The final rendering is characterized by marked impasto and sharp chromatic contrasts.
Presentation
J.Royce – Contemporary Artist
A contemporary artist with a free and instinctive universe, J.Royce develops a body of work at the frontier between gestural abstraction and urban language. His work is distinguished by a spontaneous, nervous, and deeply expressive style.
His compositions blend signs, symbols, fragments of text, and vibrant colors, creating a controlled chaos where each element dialogues with the whole. Through layers, drips, and impulsive gestures, the artist explores a limitless aesthetic guided by energy and emotion. Each work is a unique piece, conceived as a visual explosion capturing a moment, a tension, a vibration. His universe is part of a strong contemporary dynamic, situated between urban art and modern abstraction.
